After going through a roller-coaster of emotions, this young 17 year old boy in 2004 decided that Dance is his religion and he wants this religion to grow. His religion of spreading love & humanity through movement took shape when he started Expressions..

Expressions started as a small dance studio at Dadar with only 7 students on the very 1st day i.e. on 26th April 2007. After 3 years Expressions’ boasts of 6 students’ shows, 2 company productions, 2 grand dance musicals, 2 dance ad films and is now working on a commercial Indian Filmt.

Expressions’ turned into Expressions Modern Dance Company (EMDC) in 2008 with Sumeet Nagdev as the Artistic Director. Sumeet has trained his company so well that they are always ready to take the dance world by a storm. Now EMDC has dance centers at various locations in Mumbai and has also taught dance in various cities in India. EMDC has performed for various shows in India.

EMDC has had the privilege to perform for KalaGhoda Festival, Cyclathon closing ceremony, Scherring Plough Product Launch, Marico Industries Promotional Show & many more. Sumeet Nagdev has also directed & choreographed a grand dance musical for the Duke of York, Prince Andrew for the Opening ceremony of United Nations Round Square Conference held in India, for Mtv VJ Hunt which had all the Mtv VJs dancing, & for Orbit White Ad with Deepika Padukone starring in it.

Sumeet has decided to make this India’s premiere dance company in the world of performing arts and taking modern & contemporary dance to another level whereas he does not want his students’ or the company members to get too juggled with commercialization and keep the art as an educational forum more.
