The genius of this one inspired man along with the extraordinary artistry of his company dancers have set out to transform the conventional perception of movement.

Some of his masterpieces Dreams on Fire Dargah Durga Liquid Dance India Inside Black Death   Born in Mumbai on 8th December 1986, Sumeet was introduced to his role in the world of dance in an introspective moment, his formal training for the same began much later with various guides such as Mahesh Mehbubani (Modern Dance), Sandeep Sri (Folk fused with Bharat Natyam) Oscar Unger (Classical Jazz), Chin Huat & Tan How Choon (Contemporary Dance, Singapore), Tripura Kashyap (Creative Dance & Dance Therapy), Veronica Balsara & Peter Farell (Ballet), and continued with intensive training in Martha Graham Contemporary Dance School in New York & was recently an International Choreographer in Residence at American Dance Festival in North Carolina, USA and conducted a Master Modern class at the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre in Indianapolis, USA.

A defined step closer to living his dream was with the establishment and today the success of EXPRESSIONS Modern Dance Company (EMDC) & EXPRESSIONS Dance and Fitness Studios. Being the Founder of the organization which inaugurated on the 26th of April, 2007 at Dadar, Mumbai, Sumeet affirms that the company dances with truth and at the academy the purity of movement is synced with teaching. Sumeet & Expressions Modern Dance Company members perform and create repertoires and choreographies and perform for various shows in India and around the Globe.

He was once the youngest member of the Indian Film Dance Director’s Association and now Sumeet nurtures young talent and gives them a sense of direction in the world of movement. He quotes, “No movement is in sin. Believe in the light and illuminate the dancer within”
